Policy Manifesto & Open Letter 2020

Scale Ireland outlined its policy agenda for the 2020 General Election focusing on key areas to support start-up and scale-up companies. The manifesto was distributed to all the political parties ahead of the 2020 General Election.

Scale Ireland also submitted an Open Letter with over 350 signatories (founders, funders and organisations). The Open Letter called for a specific policy focus on start-up companies in the new Programme for Government.

Analysis of the Manifestos of the Political Parties

Ireland has an opportunity to develop the start-up ecosystem across the country, emulating the success achieved in foreign direct investment (FDI), accelerating indigenous innovation and bringing economic growth to the regions.

Ahead of the 2020 General Election, Scale Ireland analysed the manifestos of all of the major political parties (Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin, Green Party and Labour) to evaluate their commitments to improve the environment for indigenous tech start-up companies.
